Great National, Ballykisteen

Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel sits beside its golf course near Limerick Junction in County Tipperary, with the Galtee Mountains and the Glen of Aherlow within reach. This is a practical country hotel for golfers, couples and families who want leisure facilities on site. The golf setting gives the property an open, relaxed atmosphere, while road and rail connections make it accessible from several parts of Ireland.

Guest rooms are designed for comfortable short breaks and longer stays, with the hotel catering to leisure and business visitors as well as golf groups. Its location suits guests who prefer a quieter base outside a major town. The surrounding Tipperary countryside provides plenty of opportunities for walking and sightseeing, and the hotel’s facilities make it easy to spend time on the property between excursions.

The 18-hole golf course is the obvious draw, with the leisure centre adding an indoor swimming pool and gym. Treatment facilities provide an option for guests seeking relaxation rather than a round of golf. The hotel restaurant and bar cater for meals and informal gatherings. Nearby attractions include the Rock of Cashel, the Glen of Aherlow and the Galtee Mountains, giving non-golfers a rewarding choice of day trips.
