Lyrath Estate, Kilkenny

Lyrath Estate combines a historic manor house with a contemporary five-star hotel on extensive landscaped grounds just outside Kilkenny city. Its elegant setting makes it a favourite for romantic escapes, celebrations and spa weekends. The contrast between period architecture, open countryside and modern guest facilities is a large part of the appeal, with Kilkenny’s medieval streets only a short journey away.

Guest bedrooms and suites are spacious and contemporary, providing a restful retreat after a day exploring the estate or the city. The original manor-house character is reflected in the public spaces, while the accommodation offers the practical comfort expected from a luxury hotel.

Landscaped walks and mature trees give the estate a secluded feel even though it is conveniently positioned for a Kilkenny city break.

Oasis Spa is a central attraction, with treatments and relaxation facilities aimed at guests looking tounwind. The leisure pool and fitness facilities offer further options, while the estate’s restaurants provide different settings for meals and special occasions.

Kilkenny Castle, the Medieval Mile and the city’s galleries, cafés and craft workshops are all within easy reach. Guests can combine a spa afternoon with an evening discovering Kilkenny’s lively dining scene.
